Recycling centre fire

Description: We were called at 14:44 today with reports of a fire at a recycling centre near Pewsey.  Fire engines from Pewsey, Devizes, Stratton, Westlea, Salisbury, Trowbridge and Swindon are in attendance along with support from Hampshire FRS (Andover) and Oxfordshire FRS (Newbury and Hungerford).  This is a large fire with the scrapyard well alight and firefighting is ongoing.  There is a significant smoke plume which is heading towards Pewsey Village so are advising local residents to keep doors and windows closed and stay indoors where possible.
