Overview
Devizes is an on-call station, so its firefighters have other jobs and obligations. They commit time to the Fire & Rescue Service throughout the week and respond to emergency calls when paged.
The station is also the base for a complement of wholetime firefighters working the community duty system. This team provides operational cover, assesses and tackles community risk, and supports community safety activities in the areas around Devizes, Melksham and Calne.
This fire station has a clothing recycling bank for the Fire Fighters Charity.
