We received a call at 12.38am this morning (20 September) about a domestic property fire on Dorchester Road, Weymouth. Crews from Weymouth (x2), Portland, Dorchester, Blandford, Bridport, and Maiden Newton attended the incident along with a support unit from Hamworthy, and the Aerial Ladder Platform from Yeovil.
The incident involves a well-developed fire within a top floor flat, which had spread to the roof space. Multiple breathing apparatus wearers have been using main lines along with the ALP and a covering jet to extinguish the fire and prevent fire spread.
Update: 10am, Sunday 20 September
A full evacuation has been carried out, and a fire investigation will take place once possible as the incident is still ongoing. Six appliances and an ALP remain in attendance.
At the height of the incident approximately 30 firefighters were in attendance.
Update: 8pm, Sunday 20 September
Our stop was in at 6.19pm. DWFRS are working alongside the police to carry out a fire investigation.

Crews from Redhill Park and Poole are currently at a Shed Fire in Kinson, crews are extinguishing the fire and surrounding shrubland with 2 hose reel jets.

RTC on the A350 near Chicklade

Crews from Shaftesbury and Warminster attended a Road Traffic Collision on the A350 junction with the A303 near Chicklade involving 1 car and 1 van, the vehicles were made safe by crews.

09:56 The Fire Service attended reports of a vehicle on fire on the A338 Northbound near St Leonards and St Ives. This turned out to be a false alarm due to a burst radiator hose giving off steam.
