Fire in a silo – Tytherley Road, Winterslow

Date: 6th March, 2024

Time: 12:53pm

Description: 12:53pm - Our crew from Salisbury were called to a fire within a grain silo in Winterslow. Upon arrival firefighters got to work formulating a plan to try and extinguish the grain within the 7meter wide silo by flooding it with around 60000litres of water. This requires the watercarrier appliance from Wilton which is in attendance and helping with the operation. Work is still ongoing to ensure the fire is fully out and the silo safe to leave with the owner.
