Description: We received 61 '999' calls about a pylon on fire in a field near Avon Buildings, Christchurch last night (24 June), with the first at 8.14pm. Christchurch firefighters attended with a fire engine and a small 4x4 appliance, but no action was needed as the fire burnt itself out. Our stop was at 10.03pm.
