Description: 2:40pm - Our crew from Ferndown attended a domestic property after a call from a member of the public hearing an alarm sounding from within. The caller could not see any sign of smoke or fire, but was not getting a response from knocking on the door and was unable to make any contact with the occupant so made the correct decision to call the fire service. Upon arrival firefighters chose to force entry and found nobody within the property and a fire within an overheated kitchen appliance. This was extinguished by isolation of electrics to the appliance and crews proceeded to ventilate the property to remove all smoke.
