Commercial Property Fire – Wimborne

Date: 11th May, 2026

Time: 7.40pm

Description: We were called to reports of a fire affecting a commercial property. Crews from Wimborne (x2), Poole (x2), Westbourne, Redhill Park, a command unit from Hamworthy, the aerial ladder platform from Westbourne and a water carrier from Poole are currently in attendance.

On arrival, firefighters found a fire affecting the roof of the property. Breathing apparatus wearers are using main lines and hose reel jets to extinguish.

10.30pm update: A total of eight breathing apparatus wearers used two main lines and four hose reel jets to extinguish and the incident has now been scaled back to three appliances.

Tuesday 12 May - 8:30am update: All appliances had left the scene by approximately 3am. A reinspection is due to take place this morning.

12:30pm update: The stop came in at 9.51am today. Firefighters worked hard to stop the spread of the fire and were able to limit damage to the affected property plus minor damage to one adjacent property. No casualties were reported. The cause is believed to be accidental.
