A charity car wash is being held in Weymouth Saturday 5th October in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity and Weymouth West Air Scouts.
The event is being organised at the town’s fire station on Radipole Lane between 10am and 1pm, and firefighters and the scouts will be washing cars in return for donations.
The Fire Fighters Charity provides help to serving and retired personnel, their widows/widowers and young dependants through the provision of sheltered accommodation, recuperative facilities, rehabilitation and therapy, as well as giving financial support to those who need it.
Weymouth West Air Scouts are raising funds to modernise their building. The extension that they are planning will enable better access for people, particularly those with disabilities.
Visitors to the fire station can also ask the crew about fire safety in the home and becoming an on-call firefighter in Weymouth.
