Fire safety advice for people in Affpuddle and Tolpuddle

Date: 19th November, 2018

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service will be in and around Affpuddle and Tolpuddle tomorrow (20 November), giving local people important advice on fire safety.

It follows the recent devastating blaze at a thatched cottage in Affpuddle.

Firefighters from Bere Regis will work with Safe & Well Advisor Linda Purr to visit properties in the two villages, especially those with thatched roofs. They will deliver information leaflets, answer questions, deal with concerns, or take details for follow-up Safe & Well checks.

The team will be out and about for approx. two hours from 1pm. If you miss them but would like more information, call 0800 038 2323 to request a free Safe & Well visit, or go to www.dwfire.org.uk/safety
