Charity car wash being held at Wilton fire station

Date: 16th September, 2019

A charity car wash is being held in Wilton this Saturday (21 September) in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity and local fundraiser Love For Louis.

The event, which is being organised by firefighters at the fire station – off Minster Street, by the shopping village – will run between 10am and 3pm.

As well as washing cars in return for a minimum donation of £5, the crew will be on-hand to chat with anyone interested in joining Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service as an on-call firefighter.

There will also be teas, coffees and homemade cakes on sale to help boost the charity fundraising!

The Fire Fighters Charity provides help to serving and retired personnel, their widows/widowers and young dependants through the provision of sheltered accommodation, recuperative facilities, rehabilitation and therapy, as well as giving financial support to those who need it. More information can be found at www.firefighterscharity.org.uk

Love for Louis supports a Fovant boy born with an extremely rare genetic condition, Congenital Disorder of Glycosylation. The on-going fundraising campaign pays for specialist treatment that supports his development. More information can be found at www.facebook.com/louiscandoit
