Description: We were called at 12.33pm today (19 May) to Mannings Heath Road, Poole to reports of a fire affecting a recycling facility. Nine crews are currently in attendance from Poole (x2), Westbourne, Redhill Park, Springbourne, Ferndown, Wimborne and Christchurch (x2) alongside the aerial ladder platform from Westbourne, a command unit from Hamworthy, two support vehicles from Poole and a water carrier from Ringwood (Hampshire & Isle of Wight FRS).
Firefighters are currently using multiple jets to extinguish the fire and stop it from spreading.
3pm update: Crews are making good progress. Two breathing apparatus wearers are currently using four main lines and the aerial ladder platform to extinguish. No casualties have been reported.
5pm update: The incident is now being scaled back to four appliances and the road has now been reopened. The cause is believed to be accidental.
