Description: We were called to Canford Heath at 8.30pm tonight (15 August) for a fire currently affecting approx. 50m x 30m of gorse and heath. We have crews on scene from Poole (x2), Redhill Park and Christchurch, together with small off-road appliances from Hamworthy and Ferndown, a water carrier from Eastleigh and a command support unit from Gillingham. The fire is contained, and we are being supported by Dorset Police and Wessex Rescue's drone team.
8.30am update, 16/8/26 - Relief crews attended from Swanage, Wimborne and Blandford. An area of 80m x 40m was affected, with over 130 '999' calls received. A reinspection will be carried out this morning.
