Flooding – Dorset & Wiltshire

Date: 28th January, 2026

Description: Over the last day, we’ve been extremely busy around the recent yellow and amber weather warnings. In the last 24 to 48 hours alone, our control teams have given flooding advice to over 40 callers whilst our operational teams have attended just shy of 30 incidents. Many of the incidents that we attended involved rescuing people from their cars or assisting with property flooding.

Over the next day, we are due to get further disruption from bad weather and flooding, so please make sure that you check the roads before you travel and never drive through standing flood water. Not only can this end up being an expensive trip but you’re also putting yourself in unnecessary danger.
