Description: We were called to a restaurant in Easton Town, Sherston for a well-developed fire that had spread into the roof. Crews attended from Malmesbury, Chippenham (x2) and Royal Wootton Bassett, together with Gloucestershire crews from Tetbury, Wotton-under-Edge and Nailsworth, and two Avon pumps from Yate. The aerial appliance from Swindon and a support vehicle from Devizes were also sent. The stop was at 8.45pm, with all firefighters away from the scene by 10pm. The fire was extinguished using 13 breathing apparatus wearers, two main jets and two hose reel jets. Everyone in the building was out safely when we arrived, although one person did go to hospital for checks after suffering smoke inhalation. An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
