Domestic fire – Swindon

Date: 6th December, 2022

Time: 1.35pm

Description: Fire crews from Swindon and Stratton St Margaret attended a fire involving a pan of oil on a cooker hob. The fire was contained to the saucepan and firefighters removed it from the property and extinguished it in the open air. A thermal imaging camera was used to check the cooker extraction unit and the electricity supply was isolated to the affected appliance. Positive pressure ventilation fans were used to clear smoke from the kitchen area. Please take care when cooking.
