Description: This afternoon Fire Control received 12 calls to a commercial property at Pier Approach, Bournemouth. On arrival fire crews saw smoke and flames and requested further firefighters. Firefighters attended from Springbourne, Redhill Park, Westbourne, Christchurch, Dorchester and Poole and the aerial ladder platform from Westbourne. Fire was in the roof space and was extinguished by firefighters in breathing apparatus with 4 hose reels and 2 main lines, plus the aerial ladder platform. It is believed the cause was an electrical fault. The fire was under control by 9pm and the building will be reinspected tomorrow morning.
