Chimney fire – Corfe Castle

Description: A fire crew from Swanage was sent to deal with a chimney fire at a property near Corfe Castle. The incident involved a wood burning stove within an inglenook fireplace. Firefighters removed the wood burner in order to gain access to the flue. A  request for assistance was made and a second crew from Swanage was sent to get access to the flue from the roof, using a 10.5 metre ladder, a roof ladder and a hose reel.
