Description: At 0340 hours DWFRS Control took a call reporting a building alight off Drakes Lane, Cheselbourne. Due to the agricultural nature of the building and the surrounding area, several appliances were mobilised. These included pumps from Bere Regis, Dorchester, and Blandford, a water carrier from Poole and an off road vehicle from Wareham to assist with water supply. On arrival crews found a derelict agricultural building well alight. They used 2 main lines, 2 hose reel jets and 4 breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. The electricity board also attended to make the incident safe. One pump from Sturminster Newton returned to the incident at 1100 hours to carry out a reinspection. They used a thermal imaging camera to inspect the area, no further hotspots were found.
