Bin fire – Potterne

Date: 3rd March, 2023

Time: 12.16pm

Description: Potterne - firefighters from Devizes attended reports of a bin on fire by the playing field adjacent to Ryleaze.  Two buckets of water were used to extinguish the fire, but the waste bin was destroyed. When disposing of hot embers, ashes or similar always place in a galvanised steel or metal ash can or bucket and leave to cool completely before transferring into a rubbish container.
