The death of HRH The Prince Philip

HRH Duke of Edinburgh

Date: 9th April, 2021

This afternoon (9 April), Buckingham Palace announced the very sad news that HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had passed away peacefully at Windsor Castle.

Our deepest condolences and sympathies are with Her Majesty The Queen and the rest of the Royal Family.

In line with agreed protocol, we will be flying the Union flags at all Service premises half-mast during the period of national mourning, which is until the day following the funeral.

Because of the current pandemic restrictions, on-line books of condolence have been established by our local authorities. You can leave a tribute or comment via these sites as follows:

Dorset Council will be sharing the official book of condolence from Buckingham Palace when it becomes available, their update is here.
