Firefighters from Stratton fire station are holding their first station open day for over 3 years. The event will take place on Sunday 26 June from 10 -3pm providing fun and entertainment for all ages!
We are delighted to be able to welcome our community back onto the fire station and would like to invite everyone to come along and spend some time to meet our firefighters, have a look around the Station, fire appliances and give us the opportunity to offer you some home, fire and road safety advice.
There will be demonstrations by firefighters and the Swindon Fire Cadets, vintage vehicles, free bike marking and registration with Swindon Travel Choices. Visitors will also be able to see a vintage police car and the police dog with handler, the British Red Cross van and Biker Down
There will be a BBQ, refreshments, a raffle, gift, tombola and a local amateur artists stall. There will be also be a bouncy castle, face painting, a children’s dressing up and activity corner and of course the obligatory squirting water!
All visitors are being invited to bring a bag of clothing jumble for the Firefighter’s Charity collection and all monies raised will be put towards funding a SPECTRA experience day for young adults with a learning disability.
