Santa sleigh returns to Poole and Hamworthy

Date: 9th December, 2022

Firefighters from Poole and Hamworthy are back again this December spreading some festive cheer through their local community collecting charitable donations for two charities as part of their popular Santa’s Fire Sleigh.

On Friday 16 December the Santa fire sleigh will be visiting Turlin Moor in Hamworthy, starting there at around 6:30pm. Then on Monday 19 December, the fire sleigh will be making its way through the streets of the Waterloo estate in Poole starting at 5:45. They will then move to Verity Crescent, Canford Heath at 7pm.

Raising money for the Fire Fighters Charity and Forest Holme Hospice, Santa will be supported by on-call firefighters from both Poole and Hamworthy fire stations.

Ian Crabb, on-call Section Commander for Poole, said: We are delighted to be back this Christmas to take Santa through our local neighbourhoods again this year. It gives us a great opportunity to engage with our community, spread some festive cheer, raise some money for two great causes, and deliver our fire safety messages.”
