Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Authority Notice of Public Rights

The status of the Statement of Accounts for the year to 31 March 2019 currently published on the Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service website is unaudited. The Statement of Accounts as published may be subject to change.

For a period of 30 full working days commencing on Monday 3 June, any persons interested may, on application to the Treasurer, at Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre, Hulse Road, Salisbury, SP1 3NR, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 (Monday to Friday):

    1. inspect the accounting records for the financial year to which the audit relates and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers, receipts and other documents relating to those records, and
    2. make copies of all or any part of those records or documents

Any local government electors for the Dorset and Wiltshire area may make objections to the auditor as to:

    1. any item of account which is alleged contrary to law,
    2. any matter in respect of which it is proposed that the auditor could make a report in the public interest report

Any objection under (3) above must be sent to the auditor in writing.  At the same time as the objection is sent to the auditor, a copy of the objection must be sent to me at the address below:
