Charity Car Wash in aid of The Firefighters Charity and Action Medical Research

Date: 10th March, 2025

Poole Fire Station are holding a charity car wash on Saturday 15 March, from 9am until 12pm, in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity and Action Medical Research.

The event has been organised by Station Manager Ian Read, who said: “We’ve chosen to support two causes that are incredibly important. The Fire Fighters Charity will always remain special to us by helping to support past and present firefighters throughout their lives, and we would like to support Action Medical Research as they provide important groundwork to help young children and babies with illnesses.”

He added: “We would really like to raise as much money as we can, everyone is welcome, and the crew are looking forward to greeting everyone at the station.”

Poole Fire Station can be found on Safety Drive, Poole. To find out more about the charities they are supporting, please see their websites:

To help support and raise additional funds for Action Medical Research, Ian will be taking part in their ‘Ride for a Reason’. This event will see him cycle 300 miles from London to Paris over four days in July.
