2018 Emergency Services Show date confirmed

Date: 20th February, 2018

The Emergency Services Show will be returning to Cotswold Airport on Sunday 16 September 2018.

The Show is organised by a charitable trust, made up of volunteers drawn mainly from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, Wiltshire Police and South Western Ambulance Service.

Chairman of the trustees, Chris Harvey, said: “The Show was held at Cotswold Airport for the first time last year and we had a great time, despite the worst weather we’ve ever had to contend with! We’re delighted to be back there for 2018, and we look forward to welcoming old friends and meeting new visitors.”

He added: “Our focus is to provide a great day out, while promoting the work of the emergency services both in Wiltshire and beyond. The Show is a great opportunity for charities, community groups, businesses and others to get their messages across to a wide audience and in an informal setting. We provide a safe environment to learn about your local emergency services, view displays and demonstrations, take part in activities, get safety advice and meet your local emergency service teams.”

Jo Welch, Head of Events & PR at Cotswold Airport, said: “We are thrilled to be sponsoring the Emergency Services Show again this year. Our showground site worked really well as the venue for this incredible show last year, even with the awful weather conditions, so we are delighted to have been selected again this year. We have close links with all the Emergency Services and support them in many guises throughout the year, from fire training to accident investigation exercises. We wish the ESS team the very best of luck with this year’s event and very much look forward to another great day out and hope for sunny weather!”

One of the main drivers of the Show is to raise money for organisations that support the work of the emergency services, and donations totalling more than £150,000 have been made since the first event in 2005.
