Description: Pumping appliances from Trowbridge, Warminster, Melksham and Corsham along with a small 4x4 pumping appliance from Ludgershall and Westbury are currently attending a large field and grassland fire surrounding Westbury White Horse. The incident involved approximately four acres, well alight. The fire is now under control and crews are using hose reel jets and beaters to extinguish. Due to the large smoke plume local residents were advised to keep windows and doors if affected.
