Description: The Service called to Gibbs Marsh Trading Estate, Stalbridge at 4.43am this morning, where a single storey industrial unit was well alight. At the height of the incident, there were 12 fire appliances at the scene, from Sturminster Newton (x2), Sherborne (x2), Gillingham, Maiden Newton, Shaftesbury (x2), Castle Cary, Wincanton and Tisbury, supported by two aerial ladder platforms (from Yeovil and Westbourne), a water carrier from Yeovil, an environmental unit from Gillingham and a support unit from Sherborne. There were no reported casualties, and crews worked hard to contain the fire to the one building and prevent any spread to adjacent property. The stop came at 9.33am with a notification that the incident was being scaled back and we eventually left the scene later in the day. A fire investigation is underway.
