Description: Since 6pm this evening, fire control operators and firefighters have been extremely busy with reports of numerous road traffic collisions, details below:
5.54pm - B3089 Hindon. Two vehicle road traffic collision. Approx 15 firefighters working with colleagues from police and ambulance service.
6.16pm - A3102 nr Melksham. One vehicle road traffic collision. Firefighters made the scene safe and support ambulance service with casualty care.
6.23pm - B3089 Barford St Martin. One vehicle road traffic collision. Firefighters made the scene safe and support ambulance service with casualty care.
6.38pm - A366 nr Trowbridge. One vehicle road traffic collision. Firefighters released two casualties.
6.57pm - Harman's Cross nr Swanage. Four vehicle road traffic collision. Firefighters made all vehicles safe and supported police and ambulance with casualty care.
7.12pm - Woolly Green nr Bradford on Avon. Three vehicle road traffic collision. Firefighters made all vehicles safe and supported police and ambulance with casualty care.
7.23pm - B4039 nr Yatton Keynell. Three vehicle road traffic collision, firefighters released one casualty from one vehicle. Supported ambulance and police with scene safety and casualty care.
7.32pm - B3082 nr Kingston Lacy, Wimborne. Three vehicle road traffic collision. Firefighters supported police with scene safety.
As you can see from this list of incidents, conditions on the roads this evening are extremely hazardous. If you don't need to travel, please don't. If you must travel, please drive for the conditions. There is a lot of black ice on our roads and council colleagues are working hard with gritters to keep everyone safe.
