Description: At 00:09 hours DWFRS started receiving calls to a report of a property fire on Rowden Hill in Chippenham. Two pumps from Chippenham were mobilised, with a third from Corsham added when further calls indicated there were persons inside the property. On arrival the crew requested a fourth pump attend for breathing apparatus and further personnel, which was sent from Calne. Fire Control then received a further request for an aerial appliance which was mobilised from Bath by our colleagues in Avon FRS, along with a support pump and officer. Crews used two main jets, two hose reel jets, a short extension ladder and the aerial appliance to extinguish the fire involving the first floor and roof of a derelict property. Thankfully no persons were found to be inside and the crew confirmed all persons were accounted for. Police and Ambulance also attended to support the scene.
