Description: 5:25pm - 2 crews from Blandford were called to a domestic garage fire in Milborne St Andrew. Upon arrival firefighters found the garage to be 'fully involved in fire' and contain a variety of cylinders, so crews from Dorchester and Poole were then mobilised to assist along with specialist officers, with further crews from Maiden Newton, Wimborne and Wareham also attending to relieve the crews after they had spent a lengthy time on scene. The incident was divided into 2 sectors, with the fire extinguished using 4 breathing apparatus wearers, 1 main line, 2 hose reel jets and 3 ground monitors. Firefighters also had to remove and cool the cylinders involved in order to prevent serious escalation.
