Description: Just after 8pm this evening Fire Control received several calls reporting a large forage harvester vehicle alight in a field off Nyland Lane, Nyland. Fire engines from Gillingham Fire Station and Shaftesbury Fire Station attended, along with a specialist Water Carrier from Yeovil Fire Station in Devon and Somerset. The fire crews used 2 hose reels, 2 breathing apparatus and one of the pumps being used as a water shuttle to extinguish the vehicle fire, and an area of grass surrounding it. Unfortunately the forage harvester was completely destroyed by fire. The incident was under control by 20:41
