Description: Fire crews from Springbourne, Redhill and Christchurch were called to reports of a fire. On arrival the fire had gone out but involved an overheated electrical heater. With the cold weather coming it is important to check the condition of any heaters - including portable heaters, which should only ever be plugged into a mains socket and not an extension lead. Never cover a heater with clothing or any other materials and do not leave portable heaters unattended. Fortunately in this case no action was needed by the Fire Service.
