Description: Studland - an on-call crew from Swanage fire station attended a grassy area near the Ferry Office on Ferry Road, where some people were having a campfire. Advice was given to the members of the public about the risks associated with bonfires, camp fires and barbeques in the present dry weather and the fire was extinguished using buckets of sea water. Please refrain from having open fires at the moment as the ground is extremely dry and the risk of fire spreading is very high.
