Fire Domestic

Date: 8th March, 2022

Time: 13:19

Description: Following a call regarding smoke issuing from the roof of a property that was under construction in Upper Westwood, Bradford-on-Avon, crews from Bradford and Trowbridge were mobilised to attend. On arrival crews found the property to be well alight and requested additional resources that came by the way of crews from Castle Cary (DSFRS), Bath and Yate (AFRS) although thankfully crews on scene managed to bring the fire under control and the Bath and Yate appliances were not required. Crews used hose reels and BA wearers to extinguish the fire and monitored for any hotspots. Good early intervention by attending crews meant that the incident could scaled down soon after.
