Description: At 11:17 received a call due to reports of a strong smell coming from the air control tower. Both pumps from Chippenham attended and investigated. Crews liaised with on-site staff and investigated using thermal imaging camera and gas monitor. The strong smell of burning seemed to be coming from the ground floor radio equipment room, due to a small fire in the battery cabinet, natural ventilation in use. Crews handed the incident over to the on-site manager and electrician in attendance.
