Chimney Fire – Briantspuddle

Date: 30th January, 2023

Time: 8.23pm

Description: Briantspuddle - crews from Bere Regis and Dorchester attended a chimney fire at a thatched property in Briantspuddle. Firefighters tackled the fire from the hearth using a chimney kit and also pitched a 13.5m ladder and used a hose reel jet to damp external embers. The fire was confined to the internal sections of the chimney and did not involve the thatch. The chimney areas were thoroughly investigated and crews left scene just before 10.30pm.
