Chemical incident

Description: We were called at 9:53am today we reports of a chemical related incident on the Wincombe Business Park, Shaftesbury. Crews from Blandford, Sturminster Newton, Shaftesbury, Mere, and Salisbury were mobilised along with specialist units from Basingstoke and Romsey (Hampshire & IOW FRS).

On arrival, crews found a chemical giving off gas which is being monitored with gas monitors and thermal imaging cameras. A 25 meter exclusion zone has been put in place and anyone inside this area have been evacuated. The incident has been scaled back to four appliances.

Update 3:20pm - One appliance is still on scene. Regular air, thermal and visual monitoring of the chemical substance will continue.
