Boat fire – Poole

Date: 7th January, 2026

Time: 2.22am

Description: We were called to Woodlands Avenue, Poole at 2.22am on 7 January for a fire involving a boat within a boatyard. At the height of the incident, we had crews in attendance from Hamworthy, Poole (x2), Westbourne, Springbourne and Redhill Park, supported by a command vehicle from Hamworthy, a water carrier from Poole and the aerial ladder platform from Westbourne. We have now scaled back to four pumps – from Shaftesbury, Verwood, Blandford and Swanage – and the aerial ladder platform. No injuries have been reported. The fire started accidentally, with investigations continuing into the exact cause.
