Assist Vehicle from Water – Sherborne

Time: 11.59am

Description: Sherborne - At 11.59 this morning, control received a call from a male who was stuck in fast flowing flood water. The caller had limited English so control utilised Language Line, so a third party joined the emergency call to interpret on behalf of the caller. A crew from Sherborne attended and was assisted by a crew from Yeovil with their inflatable boat. The crews rescued the male casualty from the flood water. The crews further requested the attendance of Dorset Highways to close the road between A352 to Round Chimneys Farm.
