Description: A call was received at 11:30 today for a fire in a derelict building. Crews from Chippenham attended and found it was a controlled burn in the area. If you're having a controlled burn please call our control room on 0306 7990019 to let us know. We'll take the location and duration of the burn, and best contact number. This means if we receive a call to a fire in the area, we'll call the owner of the controlled burn to ensure everything is under control before mobilising to reduce unnecessary call outs.
