Have a go evening – Shaftesbury Fire Station

Date: 25/10/2018

Time: 6pm - 9pm

'Have a go’ at being an on-call firefighter in Shaftesbury! If you are interested in joining DWFRS and live or work within five minutes of the fire station, why not come along on 25 October. These sessions are a chance for you to talk to the firefighters about the role, have a look at the equipment and a chance to see what’s involved in the training to become an on-call firefighter. Contracted hours can vary, but on-call personnel usually make themselves available for between 48 and 120 hours per week. Between them, each fire station team will provide cover for weekdays, evenings, nights and weekends.
