Description: Firefighters from Swanage, Poole, Wareham, Redhill Park, Wimborne, Ferndown and Ringwood (Hampshire FRS) are currently dealing with a heath fire at Agglestone, near Studland. Approx. 45 firefighters are dealing with this incident using hose reels and beaters. The public are asked to avoid the area and local residents are asked to keep windows and doors closed. 9pm update The fire has affected an area of heath approx 100m by 50m. The fire has now been extinguished and crews are dampening down the area. We're grateful for support this evening from partners in Dorset Police, Wessex Rescue, HM Coastguard, SWAST and the Studland Chain Ferry. 10.10pm update The incident is currently being scaled back to one fire engine and one Land Rover. 14th July, 6am update One Land Rover and one fire engine has remained in attendance throughout the night at this incident. Crews have been dampening down numerous hot spots to prevent re ignition. We will remain in attendance throughout the day. 12pm update One fire engine and Land Rover are still in attendance, dampening down hotspots.
