Description: We received a call to reports of a fire affecting a recycling centre. Crews from Poole, Westbourne, Springbourne, Wimborne, Ferndown and Christchurch are in attendance alongside a command unit from Hamworthy and a support vehicle from Alton (Hampshire & Isle of Wight FRS). Four breathing apparatus wearers are using two main lines and foam to extinguish.
Please can all local residents keep windows and doors closed due to smoke. Members of the public should also avoid the area until further notice.
4pm update: The fire is now under control and crews are now dampening down using two main lines. In total, 14 breathing apparatus wearers have used main lines, foam alongside plant machinery to extinguish. The stop came in at 3.12pm and the incident has been scaled back to four appliances.
