RTC Scene Safety

Description: Two crews from Chippenham, a Heavy Rescue Unit from Trowbridge supported by appliances from Avonmouth and Yate (Avon Fire and Rescue Service) were mobilised to reports of a lorry that had collided with a car on the M4 motorway between J17 for Chippenham and J16 for West Swindon. On arrival it was found that there was no lorry involved and this was a single vehicle Road Traffic Collision and thankfully the driver escaped with no injuries. Chippenham crew made the vehicle safe before returning and the Avon appliances and flexi duty officers were not required.
