Description: A pump from Redhill Park along with a pump, L4T and water carrier from Poole were mobilised to a heath fire on Turbary Common. Once in attendance the incident commander requested a further 4 pumps to make pumps 6 and a further 5 L4T's which were mobilised from Ferndown, Wimborne, Christchurch, Hamworthy and Ringwood. Fire Control also mobilised the UNIMOG from Wareham due to the nature of the incident. Quick work from the crews on scene meant that by 19:55 the fire was surrounded and extinguished. Firefighters used Hose Reels, Main Lines and the L4T's to extinguish the fire. The incident was scaled down shortly after and a small number of appliances stayed as a precaution to monitor in the event of any flare ups or reignition. Thankfully there was no reignition and crews have left the incident.
