Last few places available for Prince’s Trust Team programme

Date: 9th May, 2018

There are a final few spaces remaining for the upcoming Prince’s Trust Team programme being delivered by Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service in Parkstone.

Unemployed young people are invited to take part in the exciting 12 week course, where they can learn new skills and improve their confidence and motivation. The upcoming programme will be based at Parkstone Sea Cadet Unit and will run from Monday 14 May until Friday 3 August.

If you are aged 16 to 25 and not currently in education, employment or training, and would like the opportunity to gain new skills and qualifications, now is the time to apply.

Participants will get involved in team building activities and a four-day residential trip in Dartmoor, complete a community project, and take part in two weeks of work experience during the programme. They will also get advice on how to write CVs, practise interview skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications including a Level 3 First Aid certificate.

Three in four young people supported by The Prince’s Trust move into work, education or training, and this course gives the young people involved the skills and confidence to find a job.

Debbie Wynn, Prince’s Trust Team Leader, said: “We had a great attendance on our recent taster day and the group worked really well together in the activities we delivered, considering they had never met each other before. The 12 week programme is all about helping young people to learn new skills and achieve their potential, and we have a few final spaces left so, if you would like to get involved in this great initiative, get in touch as soon as possible.”

If you would like to find out more about the upcoming Team programme or register an interest to apply, please contact Debbie Wynn on 07500 066134 or email [email protected]
