Joint statement from Dorset Police and Wiltshire Police

Date: 12th July, 2023

Police enquiries into allegations made by ITV regarding the Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) have now concluded.

Dorset Police and Wiltshire Police were made aware of the allegations by the DWFRS which centred on limited details relating to the inappropriate sharing of images on messaging platforms.

Dorset Police conducted proportionate enquiries and have found no evidence to support the allegations made within the ITV report.

The investigation included opening up an anonymous reporting line and speaking to named individuals within DWFRS and Wiltshire Police.

Both Dorset Police and Wiltshire Police are satisfied that a thorough investigation has taken place and these enquiries have now concluded.
