Shops and businesses in several Wiltshire towns are supporting Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service’s first ever Christmas Trail.
The aim of the Christmas Trail is to get younger children out and about, in a Covid secure way, with their parents/carers to learn about fire safety.
Education Coordinator Yasmine Ellis said: “Thank you to the local businesses and organisations who have kindly agreed to support our Christmas Trail! In the areas where the Trail is running, shops and organisations are displaying Christmas posters with a safety message and hidden letter. Spotting the hidden letter, the children can then work out the answer to the secret safety message and then enter our prize draw to win a Playmobil fire vehicle.”
Look out for the posters in the following places: Aldbourne, Amesbury, Calne, Devizes, Melksham, Pewsey, Ramsbury, Royal Wootton Bassett, Tisbury and Trowbridge.

When you are doing the Christmas Trail, remember to be Covid-safe with Hands, Face, Space:
- Please only walk around in your family bubble.
- Please only go into the shops if you want to buy something and adults should wear a mask as required.
- Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser regularly.
- Stay at least 1m apart from others not in your bubble.
