Rescue From Open Water

Description: Appliance from Christchurch along with one appliance from Poole along with two Technical Rescue vehicle responded to a call that had been received by the Coastguard that a kayaker had become stuck in a tree. Christchurch were mobilised as the nearest appliance and supported by Tech Rescue coming from Poole, where they managed to locate and access the casualty through a private garden. Crews used a triple extension ladder and water rescue PPE to perform the rescue. Assistance was provided by Dorset Police, South Western Ambulance Service and Coastguard teams from Southbourne and Poole.
