Description: Bournemouth - a wholetime crew from Westbourne attended a report of a fire in the open near the abandoned railway track off Bourne Valley Road. Once they had gained access, a second fire engine was requested to provide water and personnel for an area approximately 20m x 10m - this proceeded from Redhill Park. Both crews remained in attendance for some time to ensure that the fire involving gorse and undergrowth was extinguished, using a hose reel jet and beaters. The crews left scene just after midday.
